- Pa. renters and homeowners reminded that applications for CARES financial assistance will be available June 29: Renters and homeowners who were financially impacted by the economic slowdown related to the coronavirus pandemic will be able to access applications for rent and mortgage relief starting June 29. - CARES Act Funding for Small Businesses Available Tomorrow: Governor Tom Wolf announced that beginning tomorrow Tuesday June 30, small businesses across Pennsylvania can apply for grants to offset lost revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting shutdown order. - Gov. Wolf Issues Statement in Support of Allegheny County COVID-19 Mitigation Efforts Announced Today: Governor Tom Wolf commended the Allegheny County Executive and Health Department for the additional mitigations the county is putting in place in response to significant COVID-19 case increases over the past few days, emphasizing that the situation in Allegheny County is a reminder for the entire state to follow mask-wearing and other mitigation requirements. Regional Coronavirus Updates

- Of the 2,651 cases in Allegheny County, 2,508 are confirmed and 143 are probable cases. Additionally, there are 386 past or present hospitalizations (+4). All deaths to date are of individuals ranging in age from 23-103, with 84 being the median age of those who have died. In the newest cases, ages range from 9 to 89 with the median age being 26.
- On June 28, Health Department Director Dr. Debra Bogen announced that bars and restaurants are being ordered to cease on-site consumption of alcohol to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The order is effective immediately although it will not be enforced until after 5 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. The order is in effect until further notice. South Side and Oakland are areas of concern due to multiple instances of bars in those areas being named as a location a person visited before speaking with a case investigator.

- Justice Department Issues Warning About Fake Mask Exempt Cards: The Department of Justice is now warning that a card circulating online is falsely claiming its holder is lawfully exempt from wearing a mask. - According to CNN, as of 2:00pm on Monday, June 29, 2020, there are 125,928 coronavirus-related deaths and 2,564,163 total positive cases in the United States.
- Coronavirus task force returns, but downplays new flare-ups as local ‘hot spots’: The White House Coronavirus Task Force held a public briefing on Friday June 26 for the first time since late April. See attached.
- U.S. Pediatricians Call for In-Person School This Fall: The nation’s pediatricians have come out with a strong statement in favor of bringing children back to the classroom this fall wherever and whenever they can do so safely. - U.S. Sets Daily Record For New Coronavirus Cases: With numbers spiking across Southern states, the United States set a daily record for new COVID-19 cases Thursday June 25. According to data collected by Johns Hopkins University & Medicine Coronavirus Resource Center, 39,972 new cases were recorded June 25, surpassing the previous record set April 24, which saw 36,291 new cases.
