Economic Impact Practice

The Pennsylvania Economy League is widely recognized and well regarded for its nonpartisan research that advances the most critical issues facing Pennsylvania. It is more important than ever, as the Commonwealth receives its share of the $787 billion federal stimulus package, that stakeholders have access to reliable information with which to evaluate their business and organizational models.

Measuring Economic Impact in a Dynamic Era of Public Policy and Funding
The Economy League is uniquely positioned to develop sound economic impact analyses that provide:

  • Information – Comprehensive data collection capabilities utilizing a broad network of experts.
  • Insight – The tools and models that provide tangible indications of investments; the political savvy to understand the motivations that drive funding decisions; constant monitoring of how developing policies affect the public and private sectors.
  • Integrity – A long-standing reputation for providing reliable, detailed research and analysis on a variety of local, regional and state-level issues.

Together, our information, insight and integrity create:

IMPACT – We collect, compile and analyze the quantifiable information that businesses and organizations need to embark strategically on a project or evaluate past outcomes. Proficient at reporting to legislators on complex issues, our reports and presentations will enable you to communicate critical findings – clearly and persuasively – to public and private sector stakeholders and funders.

An economic impact analysis provides:

  • Collateral that clearly communicates the findings of your analysis to stakeholders.
  • A deeper understanding of an industry or project’s ripple effect in the economy at large (the jobs directly created, the secondary influence created for suppliers, to how the overall industry activity affects the region’s entire economy).

How it can support your objectives:

  • Secure public or private sector funding
  • Communicate your plan to lay audiences, members of the media and the general public
  • Set a baseline to track future initiatives
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of a pilot project
  • Uncover potential cross-industry partnerships and opportunities
